The Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office reported the seizure of nearly $2.3 million in drugs and the arrest of four individuals during a collaborative operation with other agencies, as announced by Sheriff Greg Countryman on Monday.
Four individuals have been charged as a result of the investigation known as “Operation Strictly Business.”
Authorities from the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office Collaborative Intelligence Group, the newly established Georgia Bureau of Investigation Gang Unit, and various other agencies collaborated on an 11-month investigation into a drug trafficking operation linked to two gangs: the Bloods and the Gangster Disciples, according to Countryman.
The investigation wrapped up on Nov. 19, following the Sheriff’s Office revealing that law enforcement had confiscated more than $270 million in drugs during a separate inquiry months earlier.
“We committed here that we would keep challenging the drug dealers and gang members to break down criminal operations in Muscogee County,” Sheriff Greg Countryman stated at a news conference on Monday.
The arrested individuals are:
- Dalvin Ferrell,
- Dequindre Snellings,
- Jorge Almonte-Mendoza, and
- Jonathan Provo.
They are facing multiple charges, including conspiracy, marijuana trafficking, possession of a machine gun, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, among other felonies linked to the operation.
According to Countryman, Ferrell and Snellings have both been confirmed to have gang affiliations. He described Almonte-Mondoza and Provo as “bad actors,” but did not verify any connections to criminal organizations. He mentioned that they were part of a nationwide investigation reaching all the way to California.
According to Countryman, the majority of the drug seizure consisted of marijuana, with additional quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, mushrooms, and pills also confiscated.
