The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner has confirmed the identity of the toddler who was tragically struck and killed by a vehicle on Wednesday, naming him as 2-year-old Angelo Berry.
A photo of the young boy was shared by his mom on Thursday, referring to him as “our guardian angel.”
A deadly accident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. close to North 60th and West Hustis streets.
Milwaukee police report that a toddler ran into traffic and was struck by a vehicle. A 2-year-old was taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries, but unfortunately, the child did not survive.
Authorities have apprehended two individuals related to the investigation. A 41-year-old driver stayed at the scene and was arrested for driving without a valid license.
On Thursday, authorities reported the arrest of a 25-year-old man facing child neglect charges.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office will receive the criminal charges against both men.
