A young girl, just 8 years old, was left unattended in a vehicle as her mother entered a Brooklyn hospital for treatment on Saturday. In a shocking turn of events, a thief took the car, driving away with the girl still inside.

A mother, whose identity remains unknown, rushed into Brookdale Hospital in Brownsville following a car accident on Rockaway Parkway, as reported by police sources.

A parked car was reportedly broken into and stolen, leaving a little girl in the backseat waiting for her mother to come back, as stated by the NYPD.

The car was subsequently located on Howard Avenue, and the 8-year-old was safely rescued.
