After the original release of the movie It on November 18, 1990, filmmakers created a blockbuster remake of it, released on September 8, 2017. Both movies were based on the 1986 horror novel by Stephen King, and a sequel of the 2017 film was released on September 6, 2019, satisfying fans everywhere. Before the release of the highly anticipated sequel, Hamilton student Kaya Rose (10) stated that “the first one was okay, but I have very high expectations for the next one.” Viewers across the world “hope it’s really scary and has lots of special effects,” (Dominik Sonthipahya- 10).

Starring Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise, It Chapter Two also stars Jessica Chastain as Beverly, James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, Jay Ryan as Ben, James Ransone as Eddie, and Andy Bean as Stanley (imdb.com). It takes place in two separate timelines over the course of 30 years- one between 1957-1958, and the other between 1984-1985. Despite its 21st century release, fans have always loved the anecdotes for the 1900s that the creators include in their films.  IT Chapter Two concludes the 27-year saga that Stephen King’s famous novel takes place across.
