The animated film “Spies in Disguise” was released in theatres on Christmas Day of last year, and it’s ratings have been through the roof! Starring crowd favorites Tom Holland and Will Smith, the film has pleased people of all ages all over the world. The movie depicts an unlikely pair of an insanely smart teenager and a high-class spy escaping from the government to clear their name. Sandie Angulo Chen from Common Sense Media stated that “Smith and Holland have great buddy-comedy chemistry and give this weird-in-a-good-way animated adventure a charming, crowd-pleasing vibe”. By illustrating the heavy amounts of whim and newfound relationships in the movie, the producers have most assuredly won the hearts of children everywhere!

Hamilton sophomore Christine Krenke commented that “Spies in Disguise surprisingly wasn’t terrible. It wasn’t phenomenal, and it was nowhere close to other Dreamworks classics like Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon, but it was okay.” Despite certain reviews of the movie, it is an essential note that the film’s intended audience is that of young children. Due to that fact, be sure to come out and enjoy the movie with your family! “The movie is very entertaining and provided comedy, even though much of it was slapstick,” (Courtney St. Onge- 10). This fun-loving family film is sure to knock your socks off Huskies!
