The “Away From Home” Concert Has Begun, Delighting Long Time Louis Tomlinson Fans

After a COVID-19 related hiatus, Louis Tomlinson is back with his one day “The Away From Home” Festival! The festival is happening in London at the UK Crystal Palace Bowl, on Aug. 30. As the creator, Louis is naturally headlining the festival, but he has also curated a full setlist of performers ranging from No.1 on the billboard chart “The Snuts” and indie punk newcomers. Some of the songs on the set list include “We Made It”, “Two of Us” and a One Direction throwback, “Drag Me Down”.

In a move that speaks to what this festival was about, the tickets for the event were actually completely free! Just by signing up, getting a free ticket was put to chance.

Tomlinson’s motivations were laid out pretty clearly himself in the promotions and flyers made for the festival. When speaking on it, he said, “I’ve been sat on this idea for the last 12 months at least and now to see it come to life makes me very excited. Personally, playing live shows is the best part of what I do and it’s been far too long since I’ve seen my fans, so I wanted to put this festival on to say thank you for all the support and celebrate the return of live music.”

After going through everything COVID has thrown at the world, he feels that this is a great way to return to his love of live music. The festival is still conscious though; several pieces of negative testing are required to get entry to the event. For the Louis Tomlinson fans unable to get tickets or simply too far from the venue, don’t worry! The concert will also be available by livestream for everyone who wants to enjoy the artform.

One of the last things Tomlinson says pre-festival is that he hoped for this to be an annual event, so hopefully the safety rules make it possible for everyone to enjoy concerts like his in the future again.
