Must see looks and eye-catching designs The 2021 Met Gala was definitely one you did not want to miss. The Met Gala is a fundraising gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute New York City. The gala this year was supposed to take place on the first Monday of May. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Met Gala took place on Sept. 13.  The theme was, “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.”The honorary chairs were fashion designer and filmmaker, Head of Instagram, and editor-in-chief of “Vogue” Tom Ford, Adam Mosseri, and Anna Wintour. The co-chairs that helped host the gala included Timothée Chalamet, Billie Eilish, Amanda Gorman, and Naomi Osaka. 

Many celebrities also made an appearance on the red carpet. Some of these included Lil Nas X, Shawn Mendes, Camilla Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Billie Eilish, Normani, Rhianna, Justin Beiber, Hailey Beiber, Jack Harlow, ASAP Rocky, Megan Thee Stallion, Rosé from Blackpink, Keke Palmer, Kehlani, Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and many others. Some influencers arrived as well; influencers Addison Rae, Jackie Aina, Emma Chamberlain, Nikkie de Jager, and Dixie D’Amelio. A good deal of the looks were from designers Vera Wang and Tom Ford. Fashion pieces also came from the Michael Kors Collection, Chanel, Gucci and many more well-known fashion industries. 

The 2021 Met Gala was able to show fashion pieces that demonstrate what American fashion is. This event ended with a stupendous amount of money raised for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts. Many public figures attended and displayed phenomenal fashion pieces. There is no doubt the 2021 Met Gala was an extraordinary event with many diverse and unique looks.
