Attention all half-bloods! The first teaser trailer for the upcoming “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” T.V. show has dropped at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif. this weekend.

The D23 Expo is a biennial exposition for fans of Disney. At each exposition, there are themed activities, sneak peaks of upcoming projects, and meet-and-greets with Disney stars. The three lead costars of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” attended the exposition this year: Walker Scobell, Leah Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri.

In the teaser, Walker Scobell, who will portray Percy Jackson, quotes the famous first lines of “The Lightning Thief” via voiceover: “Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood…” In the short clip, scenes from Camp Half-Blood are shown, as well as the orange camp shirts so dearly beloved to fans of the series.

The 2024 show is based on the 2005 hit book series of the same name by Rick Riordan. The series focuses on the adventures of 12-year-old Percy Jackson, a demi-god boy, who is tasked with the mission of returning the Greek god Zeus’s lightning bolt, which has gone missing. He meets fellow demi-gods at Camp Half-Blood, including two other protagonists, Annabeth Chase and Grover, as he struggles to find his identity and exactly who his absent father is.

The T.V. show is directed by Rick Riordan himself, who has been granted much freedom in order to accurately convey the novels. The two films released in 2010 and 2013 respectively
