Seoul Fashion Week 2023 took place from Tuesday, Oct. 11 to Saturday, Oct. 15. Korean designer brands like Iryuk, July Column and Kimzisu presented their 2023 spring-summer collections designed by those with less than seven years of experience. The collections focused on gender-fluid looks, traditional fashion and rebellious designs.

Lim Wu-jun, a designer for Iryuk, portrayed genderless pieces by pairing flowy pants with jackets. Denim, shorts and vests also made an appearance. “Oversized silhouettes and layered looks” was the main idea of the collection.

Designer Park Sooy of July Column took inspiration from 19th century painter Kim Jun-geun. Knitted hats, originally made of horsehair, with traditional Korean colors was the eye-catching piece in the collection.

Kim Ji-soo designed a collection for Kimsizu inspired by rebels and love. Colorful, uneven gowns were worn with wedding veils, black flowers and tattoos.
