In the first four days of its release, singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s new album “Midnights” is breaking musical records. The album has sold a whopping 1.3 million copies in vinyl, CD, cassette and the like. 

Additionally, “Midnights” has 357 million streams on the musical app Spotify, breaking the streaming-week record for any female artist and non-hip-hop album. It also became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day, and Swift broke the record for the most-streamed artist in a single day. “Midnights” is now the best-selling album of 2022.

It is the tenth studio album by Taylor Swift, after “Folklore” and “Evermore” in 2020. It was released on Oct. 21, 2022 and centers on late-night contemplations by Swift during “13 sleepless nights” of her life.
