T.V. personality Jimmy Kimmel has announced he will be hosting the 95th Oscars on March 12, 2023. This is his third time hosting the Academy Awards (in 2017 and 2018 respectively) and the pressure is on. Due to low ratings the past few years between the virtual Oscars in 2019 and the highly controversial 2021 Oscars, Kimmel hopes to draw an audience back in.

“Being invited to host the Oscars for a third time is either a great honor or a trap,” jokes Kimmel in a statement to Variety magazine. 

Jimmy Kimmel is the host of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” a comedy talk show on the ABC channel.
