As a D1 school, Hamilton rallies around their football team, filling the student section of the bleachers almost completely and following the theme to the tee. Most like to be involved whether it be on the field as a football player, a volunteer for sports med, or a member of cheer or pom, but now there’s another way to be involved in Hamilton Football.

Football Managers is a new program at Hamilton headed by Michael Zdebski, the head coach for varsity. Football managers help the coaching staff in any way possible. This includes things such as bringing out equipment, filming the practices, and entering data. “The main goal is for them to feel like they are apart of the team,” says Mr. Johnston, “Football managers are able to letter and receive the same awards as regular players.” To sign up, you must talk to Coach Zdebski in M7. “Coach Z is going to train them to do what they need to do and so they have the experience,” says Mr. Johnston. This is the first year that Hamilton Football is offering football managers. “We’re hoping to give students experience and if they want to join the team, give them the persuasion they need to do so.” There are no qualifications to be a football manager just as long as you are on time and are available. Anyone amount of people can be accepted into the program, the more the merrier.

There is no limit to who can become a football manager, everyone is welcome. So, if you wish to be a helping hand to Hamilton Football and lead our school to victory be sure to visit Mr. Zdebski in M7 to sign up.
