Christine’s Reflection: 2020-2021 School Year Reflection

Christine Krenke

This school year, I wrote for the entertainment column of the school newspaper. I really enjoyed having entertainment as my beat because I could write about pretty much anything I wanted to (my favorite shows, games, music artists, etc.). My favorite story was probably the one about Hubie Halloween because I think I spent the most time on it, and it was the best written. I also liked writing about Olivia Rodrigo’s “Driver’s License” because I had tons of content to write about, and it felt a lot more detailed than my other articles. My school year was good, despite all odds. I think I got a lot closer with people and had some fun experiences (though most were online because of Covid). My last few weeks have been a bit stressful because my COA finals and online AP tests interfered with my in-person school, and I had to miss a lot of classes. That was probably the worst of my year, though. This summer, I’m planning on watching a lot of anime, hanging out with my best friend Adallis (who is staying at my house for the whole summer), and going camping with my best friends in northern Arizona.
