School Principals May Quit Due to Various Reasons

In Arizona school districts, school principals may quit during the 2022-2023 school year.

There are various reasons that are causing people to quit their jobs and strive to be as safe as they can. An occupation that is struggling with safety concerns and other reasons is the job of a principal. Principals come in close contact with students and staff making their job twice as unsafe. Principles are concerned about the safety of themselves and their families which makes it difficult to stay in a position in which they are constantly exposed.

Another reason that principals want to quit their jobs is the hard work in trying to find teachers to fill vacant positions. There are many open teaching opportunities that schools need to have filled but there are no teachers who are willing to take up those spots. Teachers are hesitant to take up teaching positions mainly because of COVID-19 concerns.

Principals are doing all that they can to help ensure that their current teachers are doing ok during the difficult times because principals and schools really need the teachers. “I think that helps immensely,” Kristen Kinghorn said. “So I would say find your group of people who know what you’re going through, who can offer ideas and can make you laugh? Because if you don’t have that group, then it can be a very lonely job.”
