There are many controversial opinions out there, but one that seems to be very 50/50 is wearing socks with sandals. There are different levels to this question, though. Different types of sandals should be brought into consideration when thinking about the acceptance of socks and sandals. We interviewed some huskies around the school to hear what they have to say about socks and sandals.

The first person interviewed senior Kat Archipov; she said she loves socks and sandals together. It keeps her feet warm while wearing something light like sandals. She also said she, “doesn’t understand all the hate the classic pair gets.” Some people, like Archipov, enjoy the simplicity of socks and sandals while others think the pair looks weird together. Another student interviewed said that they think sandals you would wear to the beach or pool should never be worn with socks. They called peach sandals with socks disgusting, and said “it should never be allowed.”

The final student we interviewed had some mixed opinions on the topic. She said that sandals with socks are fine if you don’t want your feet out for everyone to see, but if you are going somewhere where the socks would get wet or ruined you shouldn’t even be weaning the pair together in the first place. So, there we have it. Many opinions on this controversial debate that may never end. There really is no right answer, but if you do wear socks with sandals prepare to get some hate, as there are many people out there who resent the two together.
