Urban Lemmings is Hamilton’s improv troupe. They have 4-6 performances per year, every show is different from the last. They hold rehearsals every Wednesday in the library’s program from 2:30-4:30 p.m. This is the second show of the year after the Game Show Show that took place in first quarter. They mainly focus on comedy and improv, along with taking suggestions from the audience during different games and sketches.

On November 21st, Urban Lemmings is having another performance at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. “This show will have a new dynamic along with new characters, because of the new lemmings we have from auditions,” said Wilson Armpriester (12). This is the new students’ first show due to the last one being prior to auditions and including the alumni. It is an exciting performance for those who have never before performed with Urban Lemmings. “I hope that a lot more people get to hear and know about Urban Lemmings. The crowds usually aren’t that big” Ravin Harris (12) stated. Urban Lemmings bases a lot of their show off the interactions the cast makes with the audience, so having a large crowd makes all the difference as they perform. It adds to the atmosphere and makes the show more entertaining. “ One of my favorite games is ‘new choice,’ a game where two or three people do a scene and the host will yell out for someone to change an aspect it ends up being a really fun and twisted story,” said Arabella Hammorick (11).  This is an example of how the audience can participate in the Lemmings performance.

Urban Lemmings is super excited for their second show, so be sure to go out and support their club. Tickets are $3 and the show takes place in the auditorium on November 21 at 6:30 p.m. So if you need a laugh or a way to destress, the Lemmings performance may be right for you!
