CUSD Schools to Offer Full Time Tutoring

Chandler Unified School District is going to offer full time tutoring starting in January 2022.

Have you ever been in a class where you don’t understand anything and are too scared to ask your teacher? Have you ever needed help with school work after 5 p.m.?  Well, there is a solution for that. CUSD is going to start a full day tutoring system for anyone who needs it. This will be run by CUSD but there will be student tutors so you don’t have to worry about asking your teacher or being ashamed of having a question, because the tutors have gone through this process too!

Tutoring can be done to the accommodations of the tutees. Tutees can get a tutor at any time of the day. This can be done online or in-person, although, CUSD wants to limit the in-person tutoring because they want to respect the teachers as well. This tutoring will be done through a site called NetTutor which was tested and one of the best. “Wow, that’s kind of amazing in of itself,” said board President Barb Mozdzen. “When I think about all the different levels of classes and everything else the district offers, they really do need to have a wide variety of tutors available.” Tutoring will be available to any subject needed. This new system will help students increase their grades and knowledge without being ashamed of it.
