Tropical Cyclone Bataiari hits Madagascar

Madagascar was hit by a tropical cyclone on Feb 5 – 6, 2022. The cyclone left 45,000 people homeless and destroyed many homes and businesses. Madagascar is still recovering from another tropical cyclone that hit one week earlier. In some areas, entire villages have been destroyed and power has been cut off to thousands of people. Travel is very hard to navigate after the cyclone left debris on roads from the remnants of houses and buildings.
