What is DECA?

March 11, 2022
Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) is a national organization that hundreds of schools across the country take part in. With over 200,000 participants in America and participants in different countries like China, Guam and Germany to name a few, this club has taken the country by storm. It is an integral portion of the CTE Marketing program in many high schools.
The DECA program has different categories: Business Management and Administration, Hospitality and Tourism, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance and Personal Financial Literacy. These categories challenge young participants to push themselves and become leaders to ensure their success. The program attracts individuals who are keen in doing marketing and entrepreneurship as a career. This program doesn’t just stop in high school though, collegiate DECA has also had a huge impact on students in similar areas of interest!
Hamilton High School’s DECA was able to raise over a thousand dollars for their club this year. Their dedication and commitment to their club is evident and as a result they were able to qualify for the State Championship. Congratulations HHS DECA and keep on achieving amazing things!
