Last Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 Queen Elizebeth II passed at the Balmoral Castle, United Kingdom. The Queen was 96 years old and passed in her sleep. 

Elizabeth II reigned for 73 years while married to Prince Philip. Prince Philip has just recently died last year, April 9, 2021. She has ruled since the age of 25 not only for the United Kingdom, but also Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. King Charles III, Elizabeth’s son, has taken the throne being the one to rule after the Queen. 

Monday, Sept. 19, at Westminster Abbey in London the Queen’s funeral will be held. Elizabeth II will be buried next to her husband, Philip and the rest of her family at St. George Chapel, Windsor castle.
