Hey Huskies! Do you want an opportunity to participate in a contest at ASU? Arizona State University is hosting its 38th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. student contest. It will be in January 2023. The celebration includes tributes of Dr King and the achievements of the civil rights movements. An awards ceremony will be held for Arizona K-12 students who are winners of the essay-poster contest. Winners will receive a prize and will be invited to the celebration at Arizona State University accompanied by their family and teacher.

Deadline for entry of the contest is Oct. 3, 2022. There are two entries you can choose from. Students can choose to submit an essay or a poster. The essay’s topic is about a situation or individual in your life/community who you think best demonstrates leadership through service. If you choose to create a poster, you must draw a picture that illustrates what leadership through service means to you. Each entry must be the original work of the student. Prizes include a $100 gift certificate for first place, $75 gift certificate for second place, and $50 gift certificate for third place. More contest information is linked below!
