Hurricane Fiona has Puerto Rico Struggling to Reach Some Areas

People are still stranded after Hurricane Fiona caused damaged roads and bridges, authorities are still having a difficult time reaching people after the storm hit four days ago.

This storm has also led to historic floods and unleashed a large landslide. Government officials are working with others to provide people with food, water, and medical supplies, but they are under pressure so vehicles can enter these isolated areas. Neighbors have shared food and water dropped off by non-profit groups. The son of an elderly woman was able to bring back basic supplies by foot Wednesday.

Hurricane Fiona was different from the Category 4 storm that struck five years ago and resulted in nearly 3,000 deaths.The hurricane was forecast to pass just west of Bermuda late Thursday. A hurricane warning was in effect for the British territory.
