Hurricane Ian Moves to the US and Weather Threats Become Clearer in Columbia, S.C.

Hurricane Ian is continuing its march toward the U.S. and this powerful storm is expected to hit South Carolina. The forecast for the Columbia area is becoming clearer as Hurricane Ian gets closer to the U.S.
The National Weather Service said “Gusty winds are expected on Thursday and Friday, while periods of heavy rain is possible Friday through Saturday.”
According to The National Weather Service, “The severe weather effects will all be possible from Thursday through Saturday. There is still some uncertainty about Ian’s track as it is expected to move through the southeastern Gulf of Mexico Wednesday and into southern Georgia late Friday while weakening.” A hazardous weather outlook was shared by the National Weather Service, which urged everyone to continue to look at the forecast regularly. Powerful winds and tornadoes could cause considerable damage to mobile homes, roofs and outbuildings.
