On Monday The National Hurricane Center reported a rare tropical weather event for January. The influential storm is located about 300 miles north of Bermuda. It is kind of new for an Atlantic storm to develop in January. The most recent January hurricane was Alex in 201, which led to Category 1 strength. Parts of Massachusetts picked up 4.5 inches of snow. Surprisingly, Boston had below average snowfall this winter, and got their biggest hit of snow with 3.5 inches.
