This Time of the Year is The Peak for Flash Flooding

People overlook that flash flooding is as dangerous as it is. They don’t see it to be dangerous when compared to a tornado and what the tornado can do.

It produces destructive winds and thunderstorms along with large hail. Although a tornado can cause damage, the deadliest weather phenomena is a flash flood.

In the United States, an average of 110 people are killed by flooding. Already, this year has produced 26 deaths due to the floods. NWS offices put out a flash flood warning when it is already happening or when it is predicted to happen. Vehicles are a major source of deaths for floods, it is extremely important to never attempt to drive through a flood.
