Coach Sweet has prepared the girls for yet another successful year of tennis.  Players on the teams train long hours after school as well as over breaks in preparation for upcoming matches.  The teams beat nearly all opposition they have faced including Red Mountain, Mesa, Mountain Point, Perry and North. With only one loss against Xavier, the girls were moving up the brackets.

The girls also played in a tournament, separate from their normal season. They finished runner-up, losing to Corona. Team captains Marissa Gautier (12) and Jenny Dieho (12) have been keeping their teams on track and fulfilling their positions. Marissa believes that “The girls and I have worked very hard.  We are all so close and dedicated, and I believe we will do well in state, hopefully making it to the final four.” After such a great start to their season, the girls will do their best to make it to state and finish out a strong season.
