The Ladies Husky Basketball Team is off to a great season by recruiting girls who are passionate about the sport. Coaches are looking for committed and responsible players who are willing to put forth their best efforts on and off the court. Some of the lady husky players describe the exciting season they have had so far. Marina Roehl, a freshman at Hamilton states, “The season is going great. We’ve won 7 of our games and lost 2 by a basket!” Way to go huskies! Marina also says that her plans for upcoming games involve driving the basketball and boxing out. Many of the players are motivated to learn from each other, work as a team, and gain new skills after each practice and big game.

When Marina was asked about some of the rivalries with other teams, she says, “ We don’t really have any huge rivalries with other schools. We are just trying to focus on the game and work hard to have the best season possible.”

Another player on the team, sophomore DeShay M., says she joined basketball because she has always had a passion and love for the sport and wanted to be part of it at Hamilton. These players are bonding as a team and challenging themselves in practice to bring home record wins for Hamilton.

The Ladies Basketball Team has the commitment, attitude and skills to compete for the top spot. Congratulations to all the players and the hard work they have dedicated to the team.
