The Hamilton Football Team stayed undefeated this past Friday with a 41-7 blowout win against the Arbor View Aggies. The Huskies controlled the game from the start, as they scored a touchdown and a forced fumble in the first few minutes of the game.

The offense started off hot and was up as much as 35 points in the third quarter. Senior quarterback, Nick Arvay put up another impressive performance, as he completed six out of nine passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver and offensive player of the week, Christian Anaya, had a terrific night, as he caught four passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns. The running backs for the Huskies also put on a show, as seniors Sebastian Dorman and Gabe Armenta both had two touchdowns on the night. Jacob Gonzales (12) was very pleased with the overall performance of the team as they looked “virtually unstoppable” throughout the entire football game.

The defense was just as impressive as the offense as they did not allow Arbor View to get much going on the ground or through the air. Aggies senior running back, Daniel Mitchell, was limited to only 30 rushing yards after he went over 200 yards against their previous opponent. Sophomore quarterback, Kyle Holmes, who was previously Arbor View’s player of the week, had only four rushing yards and zero pass attempts on the night. In addition, the defense was able to keep the Aggies scoreless throughout the entire first three-quarters of the game. Senior defensive back, Jamar Brown, was all over the field for the Huskies as he led the team with 21 total tackles. Knowing how much the Aggies liked to run the ball, Christopher Esparza (12) was very impressed with the way the “defense stood tall, despite being on the field for a large portion of the game.”

Overall, the Hamilton Football Team put together another dominating performance which Braeden Winter (12)  believes “gives the team great momentum going into their next matchup.” The Huskies will go on the road this Friday, September 13th, to face the Tolleson Wolverines at 7:00 pm. #GoHuskies!
