Girls Golf had a dominant win at the Higley Classic Invitational on September 26th and continue to show big improvements. This season Girls golf has developed a new role of leadership with several of the girls taking control of their game and improving their abilities to work as a team. Coach Jackie Walker expresses that this season she hopes to see the girls, “ keep a positive outlook and grow together by moving one shot to the next.” As a coach, she loves bringing each athlete closer as a team and teaching them to come together because golf is such a unique individual sport to watch. In the Higley classic Maddie Adam (12) as well as Jok Callinan (12) shot minus four and Marsha Waist shot plus three, “this was the best tournament in my experience that I have seen within two years.” Jackie walker commented. Even though golf is an individual game senior Maddie Adam (12) believes that “ we stay focused and it is all a team effort.”
Their last event is on October 22nd at the legend golf resort!
