The ladies of the badminton teams at Hamilton High School are having an interesting season amongst numerous trials and tribulations. Coming off of the 2019 season with a 15-2 streak, the Varsity girl’s badminton team is having a slow year. With only two wins against Chandler High School and Valley Vista High School, a 2-9 streak and the #20 rank in Division I, the Varsity team has their work cut out for them. Their latest game against the Sunnyslope Vikings at Hamilton was lost in a 7-2 match. In the doubles flights, Nidhi Pulicherla (Sr.) and Neha Shakir (Sr.) won their set. Shakir also won her single flight, making her overall record 19-3. In the 2019 season the girls on the JV team went 7-7. So far this year they are 0-11. Their most recent game against the Sunnyslope Vikings was a rough one, but this team of relatively fresh ladies is sure to turn their season around.  The next game for both teams is at Queen Creek High School on Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. Go support your fellow Huskies as they go head-to-head against the #14 teams in Division I.
