The Start of Baseball Season

Connie Escobar

With basketball coming to an end, a new sport pops up with a whole other season to look forward to. Baseball has been off to an amazing start, with their first game on March 16th against Chaparral resulting in a victory of 6-4. After their encounter with the Firebirds the Huskies were scheduled to go up against the Chandler Wolves at the Wolf Den on March 19 where they once again found themselves victorious.

Soon after their victory the Huskies faced their first loss against South Mountain High school on March 22 with a very close score of 2-1, that however didn’t stop them from winning another game against Chandler.

After their first loss of the season the Huskies were scheduled to face off against the Wolves once again, a day after their game against South Mountain.  During the intense game the Hamilton Huskies pulled away for good with three runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth, Liam Wilson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run and Gavin Turley singled on a 3-0 count, scoring two runs.

Josh Tiedemann was credited with the victory for the Hamilton Huskies. Leading to another victory with a final score of 6-4, following the second game against Chandler the Huskies faced off against San Luis High school on March 26. During the game the Huskies played hard resulting in another win of 4-3.

They then found themselves going up against the Basha Bears on March.30, 2021 and finished off the game with an amazing score of 7-5. Their next game will be  against Basha once again on April 1,2021. This will give the Bears a chance to redeem themselves from the last game, however, our Huskies will not take this game lightly. Go cheer your fellow Huskies on while they go up against the Bears. The game will be at home and will start  at 3:45 p.m. Best of luck Huskies!
