Huskies Boys Volleyball Playing Well This Season

Drew Boyd

To start off the season, Hamilton’s Boys Volleyball season swept the South Mountain Jaguars. The Huskies went to the Jaguars home court and handed them a loss in their first game of the season. After this, the Huskies hit a bumpy patch; they lost two in a row to Highland and Desert Ridge. On the bright side, this Huskies team was invited to a tournament and walked away with a pair of wins.

Husky tennis also looks promising this year. In their first four matches, they have won three and lost a nail biter to Chaparral. The three matches they played ended in a nine to zero win against Boulder Creek. Nine to zero means out of the nine matches played (six singles matches, three doubles matches), Hamilton won nine of them. They won five to four against Desert Vista. This team won four of the singles matches and one doubles match. After the Huskies beat the Thunder, they moved onto the Chaparral Firebirds who gave Hamilton their first loss. The team had a short term memory and came out in their next match ready to perform. They handled the Sunnyslope Vikings with ease, beating them seven to two.

The Hamilton boys volleyball team plays their next game on March 17. The Tennis squad plays their next match on March 10 at home.
