With the school year coming to a close, the Husky Varsity Softball team wraps up their regular season with three more losses to some of the best softball teams in the state.

On April 19, the Huskies played the Basha Bears in an away game. They lost this game five to three. Quin Salazar-Stewart hit one out of the park, and also attained an RBI. Caylinn Parsons earned the other run. These great plays were not enough however to keep up with the Bear’s other two runs.

On April 22, the Huskies played in a close game against the Perry Pumas. The final score was eight to seven in the Pumas favor. This game went to one extra inning. In this game, Jayla Markham, Salazar-Stewart and Parsons hit one homerun apiece. Bella Clapp also charted a run. Our Hamilton pitcher, Allison Weyandt, struck out twelve batters too.

On April 25, the final game of the season took place. Hamilton played the Xavier College Prep Gators at Xavier College Prep High School. The final score was eight to two. Maddy Beal made the two runs the Huskies had, and Lily Russo struck out four batters.

With the regular season at a close, the Hamilton Huskies ended with a record of 16-11. With this record, it is likely they will make it to the playoffs. The playoff schedule will be released at a later date.
