The final games of the regular season came to an end on April 27 and 30 against San Luis and Xavier College Prep. On April 27, the game against San Luis High School ended with a Husky win with a final score of 10-0. The final game of the regular season was on April 30 against the Xavier College Prep Gators which was a loss for the Huskies and a final score of four to three. 

 

Despite this loss, the Hamilton Huskies still made it to the playoffs and played the Cibola Raiders on May 3. The Cibola Raiders recently had a record of 21-9, but Hamilton changed that record to 21-10. The final score was six to zero in the Huskies’ favor. Kate Vance made the one homerun in the game and another run. The rest of the runs batted in were hit by Liv Losorto, Brooklyn Basset and Maddy Beal. Allison Weyandt, Hamilton’s pitcher, struck out seven batters out of the 30 batters faced. 

 

This allows Hamilton to move up in the championship games. They are ready for whatever team steps up on May 5 at 4 p.m.

Girls Tennis defeats Desert Vista High School

On April 29, the Hamilton Lady Huskies beat number six ranked Desert Vista High School by a score of five to four. This allows them to move forward to the semi finals and play against Xavier Prep on May 6. 

 

The game against Desert Vista was a close one. For the majority of the game, it was tied four to four until it all came down to one doubles team. This team was able to win the match seven to six. This will be the fourth time in a row Hamilton makes it to the semifinals where Shivika Agrawal will be serving for the match.
