Huskies Softball Team continues in The Playoffs; Girls Varsity Tennis finishes Third in The State

Throughout the past week, the Hamilton Varsity Softball Team kept a winning streak strong during three games.
On May 5, the Huskies played Mountain View High School and defeated them five to two. Kate Vance and Harli Noriega each made a homerun, Vance was also able to make two hits. In pitching, Allison Weyandt struck out six batters out of 28 faced. She unfortunately gave up one home run throughout the entire game.
On May 6, Hamilton moved on to play Pinnacle High School who they destroyed for the second time with a score of six to two. No home runs were made during this game, but Noriega had another great game with two runs batted in. Vance made three hits in the game too. Weyandt struck out eight batters this time out of the 30 faced, and had zero home runs against.
The Huskies played the Desert Vista Thunder on May 10, and blew this team out of the water. The final score was 13 to one. Bella Clapp had a great game making one homerun and three more runs batted in. She also had two hits. Weyandt struck out three batters out of the 20 she faced.
The Hamilton Huskies have two more upcoming games against the 25 and eight Red Mountain Mountain Lions on May 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.
Girls Varsity Tennis finishes Third in The State
The Hamilton Varsity Girls Tennis Team finishes the state semifinals for the fourth time this year and won the Kiwanis and the CUSD invitationals. Hamilton advanced three entries in the state quarterfinals in one state tournament. Girls Tennis finished 14 and three overall in this 2022 season.
