Huskies Softball Team Falls Short in Championship Game

Gwyn Bressler

The Hamilton Huskies had a good thing going for them advancing to the championship game against Xavier College Prep High School on May 14. Unfortunately, they were blown out of the water by this team with a final score of 13-0.

Despite this score, the Huskies worked hard this game and finished strong. Liv Lostorto made the only hit in the game, and Lily Russo and Allison Weyandt were able to strike out one batter each.

With the season and to a close, the Hamilton Softball team stands fourth in their section with a final overall record of 23 and 13. Unfortunately, the school year is also ending and the team will have to say goodbye to the valuable senior players on their team. Danitza Hernandez, Lostorto and Weyandt were all valuable players on this team and will be missed. Good luck to them, and hopefully they will make it far in the world.
