On Thursday, Nov.10, the Hamilton Huskies went up against Chandler High for the bragging rights of Arizona Avenue. Going into this game both schools participated in the Make-A -Wish fundraiser to see which school could raise the most money. It’s not just about a football rivalry but each school giving back to the community promoting their biggest rivalries of the season .

The Huskies won 19-17 beating the Chandler Wolves by only two points winning the Battle of Arizona Avenue , this is the second year in a row in the past four years that Hamilton has beaten Chandler. Last year Hamilton ended Chandler’s 45 game winning streak with The Battle of Arizona Avenue victory. The game against Chandler High was the Huskies last regular season game this season , but onto the start of the postseason the huskies match up against Saguaro on Nov. 25.

The Huskies ended their regular season with a record of 8-2, taking eight wins and two losses to Basha High and Bishop Gorman .The Huskies are the second seed in the 6A Premier Division of Arizona High School Football . In hopes of winning a State Title the Huskies have to defeat three more teams in order to win the State Championship , if not then they’ll end their post season and watch from the stands as another team plays for the championship.
