Hamilton Boys Basketball is back on the court! As the fall sports season ends, the winter season begins and with that comes boys basketball. After a close season last year, losing to Perry High School in the final round of playoffs, there is a drive to come back and take the win this year.

In the previous year, Hamilton played a pretty strong season, finishing overall with 20 wins to nine losses. Though they made it to the final round of playoffs, the Huskies unfortunately lost to Perry High School with a score of 48-38, 10 points between them.

Entering a new season, Hamilton’s boys basketball team officially began on Tuesday, Nov. 22, starting with three tournament games against Mountain View High School, Desert Mountain High School and Dysart. Hamilton took one win of the three, winning 56-28 in the game against Mountain View High School. The other two games ended in losses unfortunately, Desert Mountain winning 55-45 and Dysart winning 49-37.

Following the tournament, Hamilton went on to play two more games against Deer Valley and Highland High School. Playing Tuesday, Nov. 29, Hamilton lost to Deer Valley 53-43 and followed with another loss on Thursday, Dec. 1, 54-35, against Highland. This leaves Hamilton currently with a start of one win to four losses.

Even with only one win under their belt so far, this is only the beginning for the team, as Hamilton has a big season ahead of them. The Hamilton basketball team will go on to play away on Thursday, Dec. 8 against Campo Verde High School.
