Boys Basketball Winter Break Recap

The boys basketball team continued to play over the winter break and into the New Year, bringing in some wins for the team, starting the Huskies team off strong.
The Huskies played a total of four games over the break, winning two and losing two. The team started by playing in a tournament against the Apollo High School team on Monday, Dec. 26, finishing the game with a score of 52-45 and a successful start to the break for the team. This game was one of their first wins after an extended period of losses. Following this, the team played on Wednesday, Dec. 28 against Liberty High School, losing 65-47. However, following this game the Huskies were back with another win, finishing with a score of 47-41 in their home game against the Mesa High School team on Tuesday, Jan. 3. To end the break was another home game against Brophy College Prep with an unfortunate loss of 59-51.
With both wins and losses, the boys had a very eventful break and a strong start to the new year. These games put Hamilton at four wins to their 13 losses, ranking them 25th within the Arizona 6A Division. The team will go on to play three upcoming games in the first week back at school, Tuesday, Jan. 10 against Sunnyslope High School, Thursday, Jan. 12 against Mountain Ridge and Friday, Jan. 13 against Chandler High School.
