Boys Basketball Plays Brophy and Basha
February 1, 2023
The Hamilton boys basketball team is pretty deep into their season, now a couple weeks into the third quarter of the school year. The boys played two games in the past week against Brophy College Prep and Basha High School, one away and one on their very own court.
Starting on Wednesday, Jan. 18, the boys played a game against the Brophy College Prep team. The team is currently at a standing of 19 wins to six losses, ranking them at three in the Arizona 6A division. The Hamilton team traveled to their school to play, unfortunately unable to take home a win, with a final score of 64-40 in Brophy College Prep’s favor.
Following this game, the Huskies played a home game on Thursday, Jan. 19 against the Basha High School team. Basha is ranked at number two in the 6A Division, just above Brophy, with a standing of 21 wins to three losses. The game however was a close one for the difference in rankings between teams. Hamilton is ranked currently 25th in the 6A division and was still able to pull a close score in the game even if it ended up being a loss. The game finished with a score of 69-48 in Basha’s favor.
The boys will go on to play two more games in the upcoming week, one against Perry on Tuesday, Jan. 24, a team who is currently ranked number one in the division. Following this, the team will play Chandler on Friday, Jan. 27, a team a lot closer to Hamilton in ranking, as Chandler sits at 17 in the division. This week could definitely be one of some interesting turnouts for the Hamilton team.
