Hamilton Boys Basketball Recap for 1/23-1/27

The Hamilton boys basketball team is back again this week for a total of two games. However, making this week a standout was a game against the current topped rank team in the 6A Division, Perry High School. Following this game was a game against Chandler High School, whose ranking falls a little closer to that of Hamiltons.

The Perry High School team is ranked number one in the Arizona 6A Division this far into the season, the team at a standing of 22 wins to only one close loss against the Pinnacle High School team. The team played Hamilton on Tuesday, Jan. 24, on their own court. The game finished however with a loss for Hamilton and final score of 74-41 in Perry’s favor. The game started strong for Perry with a scoring average of 26.8 in comparison to Hamilton’s 11.4. Hamilton’s best quarter can be seen in quarter two of this game, their highest average compared to the other three quarters, at 13.0.

Following this game, the Hamilton boys played again, this time at home, on Friday, Jan. 27 against Chandler High School, a team ranked 17 in the 6A Division. This is somewhat closer to Hamilton, ranked at 25th. Hamilton played the Chandler team not too long ago, on Friday, Jan. 13, which was a close game that Chandler was able to take the win from. Similar to that game was another close game for Chandler and Hamilton this week, unfortunately Chandler taking the win again, with only five points between the teams. The game finished with a score of 48-43, Chandler taking a second win against the Hamilton team.

The Hamilton team has three games set for the upcoming week. The team will start by playing the Millennium High School team on Tuesday, Jan. 31, a team ranked fifth in the division. Following this game, the boys will play Thursday, Feb. 2 again against Basha High School and following on Friday, Feb. 3 against Perry.
