Bella Zapata is a senior on the girls volleyball team this season. She is looking to grow as much as she can before leaving for college. She is committed to the University of Tulsa and says that, “the expectations are very high at that level so I’m excited for that journey.” Bella hopes to make first team for the 6A conference and to do that she wants to learn as much as she can from Coach Vanis in this short four months of the season. Bella said Coach Vanis made her good at volleyball and has been one of her coaches since she was thirteen. Bella started playing when she was only seven years old. One of Bella’s goals this season is to be able to run the back row better because she is now a  libero.
