Dangerous Heat Hits US With Temperatures Forecast Around US

The temperature forecast has been going up. Temperatures on Monday could be extremely high in California with 114 in Palm Springs, 112 in Los Angeles and 114 in Phoenix. 


East of the Rockies, the mugginess with the heat will make it feel harsh. Texas reached a record high temperature of 111 degrees this following week. A military base in the Austin area, the temperature reached a July record of 110 and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport reached a record high temperature at 105 on Sunday. 


This heat is getting dangerous each day, over 75 percent of the West is experiencing drought conditions; and over 97 percent of California is dealing with severe drought. A Little of this heat will stretch into the mid-Atlantic which is Delaware,Maryland, lower New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia.


 Doctors recommend taking excessive heat warnings seriously, some say to use sunscreen that SPF 15 or higher 30 minutes before going outside. Sunscreens that say “Broad spectrum” or “UVA/UVB protection” are the best.
