This week is currently a huge week for the people of the United Kingdom.  At age 96 Sept. 8. 2022 the queen of England Queen Elizabeth Mary II passed on.  She first ascended the throne in 1952 following the death of her father, King George VI. She ran the throne for 70 years and in her death leaves children ,grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Another huge tragedy in the world right now is the deadly flooding in Pakistan. So far the floods have killed 1,400 people and injured many more. These floods have ravaged and pillaged homes leaving people with nothing but the clothes on their backs. The floods are causing people to pack up their homes and go to higher ground. Authorities have warned the people of Pakistan that it could take up to six6 months for the flooding to recede and there has been a rise in airborne illnesses from the containing water claiming lives.

The cost of  damages this flood has caused is estimated to be around $30 billion dollars. Pakistan has not been a big contributor to climate change yet, they are the front line of climate change.
