On Friday, San Diego officials revealed that an affordable housing complex in East Village has reached its topping-out milestone.
The city reports that Harrington Heights consists of 15 stories and features 273 affordable units.
A significant $150 million initiative, supported by public-private collaborations, aims to assist homeless veterans, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and low-income families.
“Housing is not just about buildings; it’s about hope and opportunity,” Gloria said. “Harrington Heights represents exactly what we’re striving for—providing safe, secure homes while connecting residents to vital services like job counseling, financial literacy programs, and health resources, all coordinated onsite by Alpha Project.”
The completion of the building is anticipated in 2025.
