A semiconductor materials company has launched a new manufacturing facility in east Mesa, as stated in a recent announcement.
JX Advanced Metals USA, Inc. has officially opened its new manufacturing plant situated on Germann and Crismon Roads, southeast of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport. This marks a significant milestone for the company, previously known as JX Nippon Mining & Metals USA, Inc.
JX USA is set to enhance its service for the growing customer base in North America and Europe by producing sputtering targets for the semiconductor industry at this new facility. The facility is now in the test production phase, with plans for full-scale production set to start in early 2025.
The opening ceremony included remarks from Mesa Mayor John Giles, Mesa Councilmember Scott Somers, and additional speakers.
“JX USA’s choice to make Mesa their manufacturing base reaffirms our city’s appeal as a hub for innovation and advanced technology,” Giles said during the ceremony on Wednesday. “We are honored to support this remarkable company as it grows and contributes to the industry and local economy.”
The facility spans 273,000 square feet and includes ample production space, office areas, welfare amenities, and a garden.
JX USA has grown to more than 125 employees during its 30 years in the East Valley. For additional information, click here.
