A collision that occurred south of Turlock on Sunday morning claimed the lives of four people, including three members of the same family. The individuals were recognized on Monday morning.
Daniel Lourenco, 44, and his wife Jennifer Lourenco, 45, both of Turlock, were found to have passed away, as stated by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office. Additionally, their daughter, Madelynn Lourenco, who was sixteen years old, passed away.
The driver of the 2008 Infiniti sedan that collided with the Jeep SUV driven by Lourenco, Uriel Guizar Negrete, who was 22 years old, was also named as one of the individuals who passed away.
It has been reported by the Ceres Unified School District that Jennifer Lourenco worked as an education specialist teacher at Sinclear Elementary School.
“While we are still processing this unimaginable tragedy, our hearts go out to members of the Lourenco family and their loved ones,” the district stated in a statement that was released late on Sunday night. In the school year 2023–24, Mrs.
Lourenco was recognized as Sinclear Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year. She was a moderate-severe educator at Sinclear Elementary School. There will be a profound sense of loss throughout the entire school community as a result of her passing because she was a talented and devoted educator as well as a beloved colleague.
Counseling services are accessible to any students or staff members who require support at Sinclear and all other CUSD schools. These services are provided by the district.
