A woman who had been shot to death was discovered by the Huntington Park police officers who responded to a shooting. A trail of blood led the officers to a second victim.
At approximately 9:40 p.m. on Monday, detectives arrived at the 3900 block of East 60th Street in response to a call about shots being fired, as stated by a murder detective with the Huntington Park Police Department.
They discovered a woman suffering from several gunshot wounds inside of a pickup truck when they arrived at the site. It was determined that she had passed away at the site.
Officials from the law enforcement agency stated that they also found a blood trail that led to a second scene at the intersection of Slauson and Gifford. Sheriff’s department deputies attended to a male victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound to the face at the same time.
It is thought that the guy was either inside the vehicle with the female or standing outside when the two were shot at, according to the officials who expounded on the situation.
