4-year-old Survives Fatal California Crash That Killed Four Others on 10 Freeway

A 4-year-old child has been reported to be the only survivor of a car crash in California that killed four others.

According to local media sites KTLA, Los Angeles Daily News, and The San Bernardino Sun, the accident happened on the 10 Freeway near Colton in San Bernardino County on Sunday, December 15.

According to KTLA, the youngster was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in Colton after suffering significant injuries in a single-vehicle accident.

According to California Highway Patrol Sgt. John Sauceda, the 4-year-old was hospitalized in critical condition after the collision, which occurred about 4:45 p.m. local time.

The California Highway Patrol identified the deceased victims as two male and female 60-year-olds and two male and female 30-year-olds, KTLA said.

According to the Los Angeles Daily News and The San Bernardino Sun, a Toyota Camry veered off the roadway and onto the right shoulder before colliding with a tree stump. The truck soon started to smoke and caught fire.

The crash is currently being investigated, and anyone with information should call Officer S. Severin, ID 22723, at the CHP San Bernardino Area office, at 909-383-4227.
