Three Dead in Two Separate Crashes on Monterey Road in Morgan Hill Sunday Morning
Man Struck and Killed by Car and Metro Bus After Head-on Collision on 110 Harbor Freeway
LOS ANGELES: According to the authorities, a man was killed when he stepped out of his vehicle following a separate head-on collision on the 110 Harbor Freeway in South Los Angeles. He was then struck by a car and a Metro bus, which ultimately resulted in his killing.
At approximately five minutes after five o’clock in the morning, the man’s vehicle was traveling south on the northbound express lanes near Century Boulevard when it collided with a cargo van, as reported by the California Highway Patrol.
During that time, the man exited his vehicle and was subsequently struck by a car as well as a Metro bus that was not operating properly. At the scene, he was cited as having passed away.
The family and friends of the victim are in Metro’s thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
A SigAlert was issued at 5:33 in the morning, which resulted in the closure of all lanes heading north for almost three hours. At about 8:35 in the morning, it was canceled, and all lanes were opened again.
It is not apparent what variables contributed to the crash that occurred. As of right now, there is no additional information available.
